dig Command in Linux

dig command stands for Domain Information Groper.

The Linux dig command is use for queries related to DNS name servers. This tool mainly deals to troubleshoot DNS related problems.

Now you can find record for a particular domain using dig command followed by the domain name.

Sample syntax of dig command :

# dig <domainName>

See your terminal after run the command, it displays domain name related information in the output.
